Venice is a residential, commercial, and recreational beachfront community of the city of Los Angeles. A tight-knit community and cultural hub, Venice is known for its eccentricities of artists, musicians, families, locals, shops, and transplants from all walks of life that come together to inhabit this urban beachside haven.

People are attracted to Venice to enjoy and sight see the canals, beaches and circus-like Ocean Front Walk, a two-and-a-half-mile pedestrian-only promenade that features performers, fortune-tellers, artists, and vendors.

Abbot Kinney Blvd. and the Rose Ave corridor hosts to an eclectic array of trendsetting shopping, dining, including Farmer’s Market and the best organic restaurants in LA.

Along the Ocean Front Walk is the Venice Recreation Center with basketball courts, play areas with a gymnastics apparatus, handball courts, paddle tennis courts, and volleyball courts. It is known for the famous muscle beach outdoor gymnasium. Recently the $2,000,000 skate park opened with the backdrop of Graffiti Walls on the beach side of the bike path in the same vicinity.

Located in the heart of Venice is the Oakwood Recreation Center, which includes a Los Angeles Police Department stop-in center, an auditorium, a baseball diamond, basketball courts, a children’s play area, football field, an indoor gym, picnic tables, and soccer field.

For golfers there’s the Westminster Off-Leash Dog Park that residents and visitors can enjoy.
